Tool changing / Tool systems
A lot of time is lost searching for the right tools and the positioning in the machine. In order to set this up more efficiently, the following may be applied:
Tools
- A fixed set of tools at each machine prevents delay.
- The use of quick tool change (New Standard)
- Hydraulic clamping accelerates the changing
Smart Tool Locator
- The smart Tool Locater indicates where the tools should be. This accelerates the process and eliminates mistakes.
Tool Identification and positioning system (TIPS)
- With the TIPS option, manually placed tools are recognised as well and are placed back in the machine
Finally, a good planning prevents the unnecessarily often change of tools.
Measuring systems
E-Bend L Blue angle measuring system
- SafanDarley's E-Bend L Blue angle measuring system allows working even more accurately and efficiently. The system consists of two laser sensors, one at each side of the table, which are CNC controlled. The system continuously monitors and corrects the position of the Y axis on the basis of the current product angle and thus guarantees an end product with the highest angle accuracy.
Sheet thickness measurement E-Bend S
- The system measures the sheet thickness accurately to a hundredth of a millimetre. The moment of measuring can be precisely programmed. The measuring only takes a tenth of a second and the data in the control are adjusted immediately.
