SafanDarley R-Brake
The R-Brake has recently been expanded into a fully automated bending cell. As well as being extremely compact, the floor in front of the machine remains free, leaving room for infeed and removal stations. The advantage of the upgraded R-Brake is a fully automatic tool changer linked to the machine that is fully programmed off-line together with the product using Robobend off-line simulation software. This package accurately programs and simulates all production steps in advance.
Fully automatic
The software reads the 3D drawing and calculates the bending sequence automatically. Based on this bending sequence, basic robotic steps are programmed and can be supplemented as desired with subprograms including the picking up, reference positioning and stacking of the product. Once the off-line software has generated the robot and press brake program, just one push of a button is needed to start the robot bending the products. The desired order and number of products is entered into the control software. Then the R-Brake starts to process the products and stack them up in the selected location.
Once a product is finished, the next tool setup is selected and the correct gripper for the next product is chosen.
Thanks to the automatic tool changer, the R-Brake is also ideal for handling small batches fully automatically.
